About This Blog

American post-graduate.   I am a 2010 West Virginia University graduate.  I have my Master of Arts in Secondary Education, Bachelor of Arts in English, and a minor in Spanish.  I'm a certified teacher and blogger.  I currently teach English as a foreign language at the University of Murcia.

Advice for fellow expats in Spain, especially for American expatriates.  Because I write primarily from my own experience, this blog has a focus for young Americans wanting to teach English in Spain.  My hope is to provide advice to any expatriate from any country, particularly those living or wanting to live in Spain.  I want to create a forum-type-blog to allow for expatriates to discuss aspects of living abroad, particularly in Spain.  Or hopefully this blogs just serves as a fun read for an average reader.  You don't have to journey across the Atlantic Ocean or through the Pyrenees Mountains to follow this blog.

Murcia, Spain.  Hot, dry, and forty miles from the southeast coast.  Playas, fiestas, and siestas galore.

2010-2012.  After studying in Cádiz, Spain for a month in the summer of 2008, I wanted to spend more time in the country, primarily to learn the language.  I decided to live and teach in Spain so I had no official end date.  I arrived to Murcia in October 2010, and I'll be repeating another year at teaching until July 2012.

To feed curiosity...(and I just like blogging).  Moving to Spain took months.  Finding a job, applying for a visa, planning my arrival, and simply adjusting to the culture took a lot of time and research.  The goal of this blog is to eliminate extra googling and searching and to compile information or quirky notes about my experience in order to assist other expats in Spain or any curious reader.

I like helping, and I like entertaining.
