While walking around Murcia, one of my favorite things to do is to read signs. I find that this helps to expand my Spanish vocabulary through the use of context clues. But I also find that it helps to expand my English creativity.
Although most signs are in Spanish, there are a few establishments in Murcia that have braved to give themselves names in English. One day during siesta when all the shops were closed in the middle of the afternoon, I walked around taking photographs of stores that probably should have checked with an English translator before officially choosing their titles. Below are my favorite signs with my own invented tag lines/mottos that I think would go nicely with each title.
Pull and Bear- Clothing Store
Doctor Pill Candyshop- Jelly Belly Candy Store
Maybe I can find a job in Spanish business and marketing as well...or at least in translation.

I laughed really hard at the Doctor Pills and the Eye hair salon. John and I are so glad we were able to say hello the other day and we are so glad to hear how well you are doing!
Haha-I love this post with all the pictures and commentary. Hilarious, Ash! Thanks for sharing.. I think they should definitely hire you to help with the translating... 'Pull and Bear' is very puzzling!
