Ok, maybe it's not as nearly as important as the upcoming US presidential election, but I've made a decision to stay in Murcia for one more year. So for the academic year of 2011-2012, I will once again be "la americana" on campus. I'll be working in the same faculty with the same job but with different students.
That means another year of learning Spanish and traveling Europe. But it also means another year of blogging. Even though I've been a current-guilt stricken, lazy blogger, I'm looking ahead to see how I can improve and revamp my blog. Here are some ideas for a new blog angle running through my head:
1. A blog for expats living living in Murcia--advice for which sites to visit, what festivals to attend, and how to avoid dog excretion on the sidewalk
2. A blog for teaching English in Spain--with a focus on how British English will inevitably invade your mind and twist your tongue
3. A blog for other solitary blondes in Murcia--suggestions for avoiding incessant Spanish grandpas on buses and sidewalk bars
4. A blog for American travelers in Europe--recommendations for travelers with precautionary advice for airlines that practically charge you for your emergency flotation device, landing card, and barf bag
Those are just a few ideas. I probably won't go with any of them, but I'll come up with a good one. Any suggestions?
Whatever the theme may be, for my loyal readers who have put up with the wide gaps in between blog posts, I look forward to writing for another year. I hope you've enjoyed reading my blog as much I've enjoyed writing it. Thank you for reading.
PS I'm not signing off for the year. Stay tuned for updates.

I vote for either 2 (potentially really helpful to other English teachers, there and here!) or 3 (just because I suspect it would be funny--for us readers, though maybe not for you).
Whatever you decide to do, keep posting pics from the beach. Looking at your photos of sun, cerveza, and French bouffe was like having a little vacation by proxy!
I am so excited you are staying for one more year. Yours is the first blog I found in my search for Spanish Blogs in preparation for moving to Spain. I was especially excited because we moved near you over by the coast in San Javier.
I am blogging at katiewanders.blogspot.com keep up the blogging I have enjoyed everything you have written. Katie
