The contrast between my last post and this post and adequately exemplifies the fluctuating weather in Murcia. I now understand the etymological connection between temperament and temperature. I never thought about that until I talked about the Spanish temperatura so often.
Two days after I published my last post the clouds made way, the sun came out, and the ground dried up. Back to the sunny Southern Spain all know. Even the Spain that Professor Higgins knows.
On a winter day like this, instead of avoiding lakes in the middle of the road and the bone-freezing humidity, I spent the afternoon taking advantage of the sunshine and had a clara in front of Murcia's ayuntamiento (town hall).

My advice to a guiri: On pleasant winter days, aprovechar the weather and enjoy a caña in a sunny plaza.
